Job going in Ipswich - Niall - 06-12-2012 Seeing as i know a few of you round here live in that sort of area, We've got a job going in the area at the moment for a fire alarm service engineer on a 3 month contract (potentially permanent depending on how good you are). No experience isnt a problem but obviously a good electrical knowledge would help. Start on 15k and get company car and some other nice benefits. If your interested, let me know (btw only reason i am posting this, im skint and want the bounty hunter bonus if you get the job lol) Re: Job going in Ipswich - Dan! - 06-12-2012 Tooommmm! Also what does the salary go up to? closing date for the job is 14th december so i would of thought they would be aiming to have someone on th job by end of jan. Wage goes up to 17.5k after a 6 month probation (assuming you finish the 3 month temp contract) and you can start doing on call after the 6 months which adds about another 5-7k a year depending on if you take on any extra. Same reason I didn't apply for the Ford/Peugeot apprenticeship just after my work experience there, the induction/training was miles away. Fml. Good luck to anyone that does go for it though. RE: Job going in Ipswich - Niall - 06-12-2012 shame tom because it would be a good job to start you on but theres a lot of travelling. never know, something might pop up again soon RE: Job going in Ipswich - cwspellowe - 06-12-2012 f*ck's sake, travelling is nothing if it means a job at the end of the day. I did three weeks down south for my job, it's just one of those things. RE: Job going in Ipswich - Ruan - 06-12-2012 So tempted... If only it wasn't that far away!!! I love electrics aswell got my hopes up when i applied for it haha RE: Job going in Ipswich - Niall - 06-12-2012 ah not the same company. its a good line of work to get into if you can. problem is sparkys try and do the job cheaper but so wrong you wont believe. If you can get to doing system design and commissioning, you can easily see 38-40k. Get onto the fixed extinguishing and risk assessing and can add another 10-12k onto that. |
