Just fuelled up ready for Xmas meet :) - ash240970 - 27-11-2012 Yeah I know its a bit early for some but my local BP had their cheap fuel day again so @ £1.36•9 a litre I though it would be rude not to oh and for all you pervs out there it was £1.30•9. Is this one of the cheapest fuel prices in the UK at the moment? is it possible to re-set my fuel gauge? as it doesn't read full when brimmed - the needle is in the middle to lower part of the white section of the full mark piccy: RE: Just fuelled up ready for Xmas meet :) - Toms306 - 27-11-2012 I paid 1.38.9 for shell diesel today....2p difference is only a quid over a whole tank anyway lol. RE: Just fuelled up ready for Xmas meet :) - Niall - 27-11-2012 none of them go all the way to the top of the gauge. dont move the needle because then yu will be running out at the beginning of the red! That is cheap actually. Wish it was that cheap here! We get 3p off a litre on our fuel cards but not allowed to use them on our own cars RE: Just fuelled up ready for Xmas meet :) - Toms306 - 27-11-2012 Mine goes right to the top. The one in the NAD never got further than 3/4s though lol. It's to do with the contacts wearing out on the level sensor I think. RE: Just fuelled up ready for Xmas meet :) - Matt - 27-11-2012 I can't even think of filling up till Friday. No monies! RE: Just fuelled up ready for Xmas meet :) - Kwik - 27-11-2012 mine goes over the top and mine in canterbury is 137.9 but in thanet ranges from 142.9 - 145.9 RE: Just fuelled up ready for Xmas meet :) - Dum-Dum - 27-11-2012 The fuel gauge is a pertol diesel thing. Petrols never seem to go to the top whereas diesels seem to go just off the top of the gauge. I guess its cos petrol is thinner than diesel so the float floats lower than in diesel. Im gonna fill up when I get my car back from Kris. 17.99 for 20L of veg from Costco Just fuelled up ready for Xmas meet :) - ash240970 - 27-11-2012 Dum - mines derv lol RE: Just fuelled up ready for Xmas meet :) - Curt - 27-11-2012 Mine goes right to the top... RE: Just fuelled up ready for Xmas meet :) - Dum-Dum - 27-11-2012 that shits on my theory then. odd cos all my diesels have gone right to the top and all the petrols have never looked full. RE: Just fuelled up ready for Xmas meet :) - Kwik - 27-11-2012 french consistency at it's best lol RE: Just fuelled up ready for Xmas meet :) - Curt - 27-11-2012 You know what, I have my own theory. They're French. Re: RE: Just fuelled up ready for Xmas meet :) - kernow_joe - 27-11-2012 (27-11-2012, 08:16 PM)Curt Wrote: You know what, I have my own theory. Just fuelled up ready for Xmas meet :) - ash240970 - 27-11-2012 The vast majority that are UK spec were built here RE: Just fuelled up ready for Xmas meet :) - Matt - 27-11-2012 Mines French. Still goes to the top. Well before I broke the dials RE: Just fuelled up ready for Xmas meet :) - 4WayDiablo - 27-11-2012 Haha mine was built in cov :-) RE: Just fuelled up ready for Xmas meet :) - Curt - 27-11-2012 Probably worse to be fair RE: Just fuelled up ready for Xmas meet :) - Niall - 27-11-2012 (27-11-2012, 09:26 PM)Scott Wrote: Not all of them! gti's were british built and so were all ph3s i think RE: Just fuelled up ready for Xmas meet :) - Toms306 - 27-11-2012 Wait, they're britsh!? No wonder they're so shite then, and I've been taking the piss of the mg all this time! :/ RE: Just fuelled up ready for Xmas meet :) - Jonny81191 - 27-11-2012 Mine always goes right to the top. And so did my petrol one. I agree with curt TBH RE: Just fuelled up ready for Xmas meet :) - r3k1355 - 27-11-2012 As if being built in Britain was ever a sign of a reliable motor. RE: Just fuelled up ready for Xmas meet :) - bigcheez2k3 - 27-11-2012 Nearly filled mine, stuck £55 in just now and doing the rest in veg tomorrow. RE: Just fuelled up ready for Xmas meet :) - C.A.R. - 28-11-2012 I paid £1.28.9 last week. 10p off a liter voucher FTW! Typically costs me £73-75 to fill the tank though, which sucks. You put how much Diesel in a veg car?? 40L of veg, 2 litres of petrol in mine and it starts like a champ. |
