oil around the turbo (hdi) - wibbz - 25-11-2012 hi all i have just brought myself a hdi and have noticed quite a bit off oil around the rear of the engine around where the turbo is located not sure where it can be coming from so any sudgestions would be greatly received RE: oil around the turbo (hdi) - Toms306 - 25-11-2012 Probably the oil return from the turbo, the standard clip isn't a jubilee so can't be tightened when it inevitably loosens over time. Both of the HDis I've had leaked oil there, but not enough to drip on the floor. RE: oil around the turbo (hdi) - pugtk - 25-11-2012 oil feed?? rocker cover gasket leaking, clean the engine down and wait for oil to seep out again, you should be able to see where its coming from then RE: oil around the turbo (hdi) - wibbz - 25-11-2012 thanks peeps i will be cleaning it all over next weekend il let you know how i get on with it RE: oil around the turbo (hdi) - Jonny81191 - 25-11-2012 as tom says, probably nothing to worry about, if it's not actually dripping. Most if not all turbos end up with oil on them from the return line.. RE: oil around the turbo (hdi) - wibbz - 25-11-2012 iv got a little oil on the drive but it has been sat on the drive a while |
