Air entering Bosch pump. - fieldofrob - 19-11-2012

hi all, Bosch fuel system has air entering, no fuel leaking out but when I pump the priming bulb i can hear air entering or exiting from behind the IP. flow and return lines are new, inline filter and new priming bulb, new leak off lines. I've checked sender unit in tank, pipes and connections look sound. my inline filter has a clear end so i can see its that its full of air, if I clamp fuel line by IP I can leak off the air by loosening line by filter and priming, more or less all air out, but in a couple of days will be full of air again! its doing my nut now! smoke cloud on startup and rough running until fuel is sucking through. is it possible that the IP is faulty? and how come if I prime the system with ignition off fuel flows out the return line? shouldn't the stop solenoid seal the system and prevent the line emptying?

there was a members post I read, by a person named Bufter, they had an identical problem, I messaged them but no response, anyone remember if he solved it?

come on you geniuses!!!!! please please know the answer.[/b]
