No windscreen air.. - Ben - 15-11-2012 No air blowing at the windscreen when directed to do so, so I can't de-mist at the moment. Both the directing flaps appear to be working and I can't think what else it could be :/ RE: No windscreen air.. - Kwik - 16-11-2012 is air blowing normally? and are the cables still attached on control panel? RE: No windscreen air.. - Niall - 16-11-2012 will be one of the cables on the rear of the control panel have come off or snapped. yellow one iirc! if its come off at the other end on the heater box......good luck! RE: No windscreen air.. - Ben - 18-11-2012 Air is blowing fine out if the in car vents yes. Like I said both the directing flaps appear to be working (the cables havnt come off and I can see the flap levers being moved) RE: No windscreen air.. - Kwik - 18-11-2012 as niall says the heater box one is a lady garden. unless got a blockage in the windscreen vents RE: No windscreen air.. - puglove - 18-11-2012 the cable jas prob come off the other end RE: No windscreen air.. - Ben - 19-11-2012 Like I said the cables havnt come off. Yeah I think a blockage is the only thing I can think of, seems unlikely though as its a very wide vent! RE: No windscreen air.. - Kwik - 19-11-2012 iirc it narrows to go in the heater box RE: No windscreen air.. - Ben - 19-11-2012 Yeah I'd imagine it does. I'll have to get the dash out again soon and have a search. RE: No windscreen air.. - zx_volcane - 29-11-2012 solved : /thread No windscreen air.. - RePT - 29-11-2012 (29-11-2012, 06:34 PM)zx_volcane Wrote: solved : Hahahah RE: No windscreen air.. - samass - 29-11-2012 thats amazing!! RE: No windscreen air.. - Ben - 29-11-2012 Aha I was considering doing something similar if I can't fix it. I was thinking of getting a flexi pipe and putting small holes in it and running it along the bottom of the windscreen, fed from the passenger side vent. RE: No windscreen air.. - zx_volcane - 29-11-2012 one on the drivers vent Really this is total win, no one wants to be taking a dash out in this weather, brrrrrrrr - just raided the recycling bin for cardboard and bits. This is on the gf's car btw, think same issue as yours, flap looks operative but still no air to windscreen. Can tell the dash has been out before as someone made a mess of the heater controls and snapped some bits behind the dash that hold the cable in place :/ Waiting for a report back to see if its working! |
