it was cold the other week. which maybe the start of the problem?
when i start my car in the morning its fine. i drive home, about half a mile to have a descent brew coz my misses brew kit at her house isn`t as nice. but when i start it 20 mins later, no k light comes on and won`t start. i flick it on an off, pre start, hopeing for the light. it might take 10 mins before it suddenly comes on and starts. i was in bnq drove for 1 min1 this evening after it started fine, to go pets at home, went in, 5 mins and it wouldn`t start - no k light. tried a couple of times. after about 10 mins, k light came on and so started.
my ecu is unlocked.
wonder if anyone had anyideas to look at?

By "K light" do you mean the engine management light? Any other lights come on at all when this happens?

yeah the engine management light. its on all the time when working coz i have had chance to plug it in and sorted yet. the air bag light comes on, a usual though
all light up as normal, eccept the management light. once its lite, it will start no problem

No idea then tbh, would say immobiliser, but then why only when its hot..?

plugged my car in today, afetr it not starting from cold. its shown that its a key transponder problem. even though my ecu is unlocked, it could possibly be corrupt software - its suddenly decided to start playing up for no reason. so my car will start when it wants, not when i need it. the engine light wont come on- so i know it wont start, 10 mins later, out if the blue, it will illuminate itself and it will start. i`m thinking it might be paying out for unlocking the bsi, even though its unlocked?
