Clutch Cable - admk3 - 13-11-2012 Im having some probelms with fitting my new clutch cable, got the old one off and the new one nearly but i just cannot get it through the bulkhead, i tried string on the end with the plastic clip but it just wont pull back through, am i missuing something? Any tips? RE: Clutch Cable - samass - 13-11-2012 you got aircon? need to lever the pipes out the way, thats the main issue RE: Clutch Cable - C2K - 13-11-2012 Undo the securing nut in the wheel arch if you have air con. It's not that difficult just a touch fiddly. Best access is from the wheel arch I find. RE: Clutch Cable - admk3 - 13-11-2012 I undone the nut but i couldnt really move the pips much, i didnt wanna damage them, im gonna try again tomo, had enough today, sore hands lol RE: Clutch Cable - samass - 13-11-2012 You can really put force behind them with out damaging them mate, don't worry about them. Just don't go totally mental, bit you should be able to move them enough to get the cable in place RE: Clutch Cable - Matt - 13-11-2012 The pipes will take a beating. Pry bar in and wiggle RE: Clutch Cable - C2K - 14-11-2012 The pipes move quite easily with the nut off, of course you must disengage the stud from the wheelarch to actually move them. TBH they don't actually interfere much if you get the angle right from below, you just need slender girly hands like me. ![]() RE: Clutch Cable - admk3 - 14-11-2012 I managed to pry the pips enough to get it all through, my next question is how does it actually attach to the pedal? As for fingers well mine are fat and stumpy! Good for the Girlfriend Shite for Cars haha. RE: Clutch Cable - C2K - 14-11-2012 White square sits on a small vertical peg on the top of the clutch pedal. ![]() |
