Converting MP3 Files? - 306carter - 11-11-2012

Got loads of music on my pc that are MP3 files. To make a cd that i can play in my work van do i need to convert them to WMA files.

I tried burning a disc using Windows Media Player but it just says disc error.

Am i being a spaz? I haven't made a cd for years.

You need to use software other than Windows Media Player. As for converting, don't convert them then burn them, most software will take care of everything as part of the burn process.

Most software will give you the option of burning an 'Audio CD' or 'MP3 CD', of which you need the first.

MediaMonkey is great, though there are lots of other free tools out there. Hell, I think even iTunes can do it

Can i use iTunes to make a CD? or anyone recommend some software?

itunes does and is very easy.
Make a playlist with all the music you want in it, name it, put a blank cd in and right click the playlist and hit burn. Simples. Will ask you if you want it to be mp3 cd, data cd or just a audio cd

I use Nero 7 for all my burning needs. Its never let me down yet. Smile
