You do know they look gay as f*ck? Even on cars there designed for RE: drl lights wired to sidelights help - C.A.R. - 07-11-2012 If you wire them to the sidelights surely that defeats the object? Just use your sidelights ![]() There's a chap lives near me has an old Astra and he has put the fairy lights on the front bumper, they even flash orange when he indicates. Looks incredibly wank, but he is probably well impressed with himself! RE: drl lights wired to sidelights help - CJ_Derv - 07-11-2012 Oh Dear can see where this ones going................................ RE: drl lights wired to sidelights help - Dum-Dum - 07-11-2012 You cant wire then to your sidelights because theyer supposed to turn off when you turn your headlights on and the sidelights dont do that. IIRC youll fail your MOT for that. RE: drl lights wired to sidelights help - Matt - 07-11-2012 Nah look well good init. IIRC youll fail your MOT for that. Well thats bollocks. The idea is they are supposed to be switchable from a switch on the dash. Not linked to side lights (defeats the object). When there on, the rear lights are not supposed to be lit as well. easiest way is to just have them on a separate supply which switches on when you switch the ignition on. RE: drl lights wired to sidelights help - stokesy - 07-11-2012 Guess no1 here likes em lol and I'm 24 to fukin old to be sat in random car parks mate plus work nites so I'm f*cked if I wanted to RE: drl lights wired to sidelights help - Willo - 07-11-2012 View item: DRL Daytime Running Light Relay Harness Auto Car Control On/Off Switch 12V -A014 On eBay item number 110973431975 RE: drl lights wired to sidelights help - Matt - 07-11-2012 Haha only taken the mick, not my cuppa tea, plus most of the chavs round here have them on there saxos lol RE: drl lights wired to sidelights help - stokesy - 07-11-2012 (07-11-2012, 07:57 PM)Matt Wrote: Haha only taken the mick, not my cuppa tea, plus most of the chavs round here have them on there saxos lol Gonna open up for another p take but I like saxo vtr cheap insurance and rapid RE: drl lights wired to sidelights help - Niall - 07-11-2012 (07-11-2012, 07:59 PM)stokesy Wrote:(07-11-2012, 07:57 PM)Matt Wrote: Haha only taken the mick, not my cuppa tea, plus most of the chavs round here have them on there saxos lol vtr isnt that quick. Don't know where you get rapid from, they are 90bhp or 100bhp >2001. The only reason they feel fast is because of how shit they are! Put it this way if you were to roll down a hill at 20mph in a Bentley, you'd barely notice you were moving. So now imagine rolling down the same hill at 20mph in a shopping trolley, now correct me if im wrong but you'd shit yourself! Only thing I'd say about them is they're willing and revvy but feel strangled at anything above 50mph, sound ok and would look ok if they didn't have the chav label! Oh and take the drl's back and get some mist jets, best £5 you'll ever spend! RE: drl lights wired to sidelights help - HDIkyle - 12-11-2012 £7! I think I'd rather spend that on some led washerjets than that. Personal opinion ofcourse RE: drl lights wired to sidelights help - Magenta Sunset - 29-10-2016 and there was me thinking of wiring in some LED strips under the h/lights to run with the s/lights for when it's that time between no lights & headlights reqd. :/ drl lights wired to sidelights help - bashbarnard - 29-10-2016 Thread revival! Far less hassle to just make what is already there work well. |
