vw t5 transporter {random question} - bayley - 07-11-2012 my mate has got a t5 but it is restricted to 70mph no matter what gear your in...anyone know how to remove it or know what is restricting it ? ![]() Re: vw t5 transporter {random question} - rocker8742 - 07-11-2012 Could it be mapped into it? RE: vw t5 transporter {random question} - bayley - 07-11-2012 not sure mate...as soon as it hits 70 the power just litrally drops off.wondering if the pump is governed.maybe be a remap then might do it. RE: vw t5 transporter {random question} - 306Dan - 07-11-2012 Thats a vw mapped restrictor by the sounds of it, to get rid you need to take it to a vw garage to have it removed if i remember correctly a t5's done on the ecu so its not a seperate unit or a fuse you can pull. RE: vw t5 transporter {random question} - bayley - 07-11-2012 thank's dan i will let him know...pulls well up to 70 thow lol RE: vw t5 transporter {random question} - Jonny81191 - 07-11-2012 why would you want to exceed 70? it's illegal ![]() Re: vw t5 transporter {random question} - kernow_joe - 07-11-2012 Exceeding 60 in a van so you shouldn't be going 70 anyway :p RE: vw t5 transporter {random question} - bayley - 07-11-2012 cus its fun,lol....on private road's of course -_- Re: vw t5 transporter {random question} - kernow_joe - 07-11-2012 Ha yeah don't have anything helpful to add my dads t5 sportline definitely doesn't have any restrictions! RE: vw t5 transporter {random question} - Tom - 08-11-2012 Neutral downhill? Should exceed 70 then lol RE: vw t5 transporter {random question} - Dum-Dum - 08-11-2012 Moving to a more appropriate section RE: vw t5 transporter {random question} - Ruan - 08-11-2012 It'll be in with vagcom, I think under powertrain control its channel 42 or 43 or something around there, I think that's the speed in kmh in hex... So it'd be a value of 0x071 for a 113kmh limiter... I think that's how it works anyway RE: vw t5 transporter {random question} - londondan86 - 08-11-2012 (07-11-2012, 09:11 PM)kernow_joe Wrote: Exceeding 60 in a van so you shouldn't be going 70 anyway :p Unless on a motorway ![]() https://www.gov.uk/speed-limits |
