My new HDi... - Bailes1992 - 06-01-2012 Had a Peugeot 406 as my first car and was hanckering for another! So with my Uncle getting a new car, I thought I'd sieze the opportunity and nab his 406 off him! It's a Peugeot 406 HDi 90 rapier. It's only 90bhp but if you learn to 'ride the torque' it actually picks up really well! Did 550 miles today and averaged 48mpg with a little thrash over the heads of the valleys. Only few niggles I can find is that the steering wheel dosen't sit centre in a straight line and theres a steering wobble when braking. So all it needs really *touch wood* is new front brakes and steering allignment The bodyworks abit tatty (much like my Focus), but the interiors MINT apart from a rip in the drivers bolster and a missing rear ashtray. Plan over the next few weeks... Good service, Get my radio in, New front brakes, Wheel alignment. Longterm Plan? I don't really know. Maybe a remap, Maybe abit of lowering, Might even get the bodywork sorted. Bailes. Re: My new HDi... - Harky - 06-01-2012 Best of luck with it, looks a clean car. Lowered and some new wheels and it'l look even better Re: My new HDi... - Bailes1992 - 06-01-2012 Harky Wrote:Best of luck with it, looks a clean car. I like Nimrods, but I may put winter tyres on the 15's that are on there now and get some 16's with some decent rubber on them for the summer. If I drop it, it will be 35mm on eibachs on Bilsten B4's. That way I can keep the OEM comfort and have better handling. Re: My new HDi... - Kezzieboy - 06-01-2012 Looks alreet, I've been looking at 406's, but me wants the full leathers in a 2.2HDi Than slammed over something with a bit of dish! You want a 2.2 Exec or a 2.2 SE then. SE is the more 'sporty' version of the Exec. Same as my Rapier is supposed to be the more 'Sporty' version of the GLX. Yeah I'd about sussed that after trawling through auto trader, seems they're pretty rare though, there all bloody LX spec. Re: My new HDi... - Foxy-jim - 10-01-2012 Euro it up!
