FU*KING PUDDLE!!! - Niall - 02-11-2012 Went out to my car earlier to clean the floor mats. Took the passenger one out and thought this feels heavy! looked in the footwell and there was a massive bloody puddle. Thought it was smelling a bit damp in there! Anyway, worked out what caused it and ive sorted that so shouldnt happen again but whats the best way to dry it out? Dont want to lift the carpet but also dont want it sitting damp for ages as it will probably start to rot all the foam underneath. RE: FU*KING PUDDLE!!! - Matt - 02-11-2012 Heat gun. Drys it right out RE: FU*KING PUDDLE!!! - Niall - 02-11-2012 That will take bloody ages! RE: FU*KING PUDDLE!!! - samass - 02-11-2012 get some dehumidifyer packets and drop them there and drive around with the footwell fans on hot. worked in irene when she got a bit moist (ooh errrrrrr) i forget the name of the packet things, but i can tell you exactly where to find them in b&q..... RE: FU*KING PUDDLE!!! - Matt - 02-11-2012 Hahahha too true. And it won't take that long. You know if you had the floor fans on hot and then drive to mine, fix mine drive home and it would easily be dry RE: FU*KING PUDDLE!!! - JackLewis_Dturbo - 02-11-2012 is mine the only 306 that doesnt leak in heavy rain? (touch wood i havent ginxed) RE: FU*KING PUDDLE!!! - Niall - 02-11-2012 Mine never has before. Not like we've had any particularly heavy rain recently either so dont know why its done it now! RE: FU*KING PUDDLE!!! - JackLewis_Dturbo - 02-11-2012 strange, we have had some properly heavy rain here! RE: FU*KING PUDDLE!!! - Pompey306mark - 02-11-2012 Go for a drive, heaters on max pointing to your feet. RE: FU*KING PUDDLE!!! - samass - 02-11-2012 No..... RE: FU*KING PUDDLE!!! - Jonny81191 - 02-11-2012 stick a fan heater in there for a few hours with one of the windows open a touch. RE: FU*KING PUDDLE!!! - Pugmarshall - 02-11-2012 Rice? RE: FU*KING PUDDLE!!! - daddyfixit - 02-11-2012 i took the nsf carpet out by cutting it under the centre console where you cant see it !!! un-bolted the 2 front seat bolts and pulled it out, then hung the carpet up in work in the boiler room -----it was there for 3 days as it was properly soaked..... what makes it worse is that while the carpet was out, we had loads of rain and not a single drop made its way in ??? all back together since last weekend, so i will lift the carpet over this weekend to see its still dry. Just do not buy the regular one, because it gets the mud. Only silicon one`s. RE: FU*KING PUDDLE!!! - Matt - 05-11-2012 f*ck sake. Now I've got a bloody puddle RE: FU*KING PUDDLE!!! - 1616six - 05-11-2012 (05-11-2012, 08:21 AM)Matt Wrote: f*ck sake. All those previous owners fapping over it, must smell pretty horrendous RE: FU*KING PUDDLE!!! - Niall - 05-11-2012 (05-11-2012, 09:37 AM)Ed Doe Wrote: I bet! Except mine....and yours FU*KING PUDDLE!!! - THE_Liam - 05-11-2012 As said above, silicone cat litter. Worked in the beigemobile, and if you cut a couple of little holes on the outside edge of the door seal it'll stop it happening again. In an inspired piece of French design, the drain holes point inward... RE: FU*KING PUDDLE!!! - Niall - 05-11-2012 (05-11-2012, 10:39 AM)THE_Liam Wrote: As said above, silicone cat litter. Re: FU*KING PUDDLE!!! - kernow_joe - 05-11-2012 Mopped my floor out then spread a bag of rice on the floor, did the job RE: FU*KING PUDDLE!!! - Matt - 06-11-2012 Well my puddle turned into ice this morning, proved rather difficult driving to work RE: FU*KING PUDDLE!!! - Niall - 07-11-2012 haha brilliant.
