Recommended rear shocks? - C.A.R. - 29-10-2012

I'm looking to replace the rear shock absorbers in the next few weeks and wondered what to go for?

I don't want to spend a fortune and saw that Bilstein B4 shocks are about £60 a pair on eBay.

I don't want a massive upgrade I just want the creakiness gone and a decent ride, has anyone got any suggestions or am I onto the right path?

Thanks in advance

Can get the GAZ adjustables I run on mine for £100 a pair on egay

I can vouch for the Gaz units; they're very good, but might be a bit on the hard side for you (you soppy gaylord!) Tongue

B4s are softer, so not nearly as sporty, but the ride will be a lot better as a result...

Too hard? They're adjustable ed.. on the softest setting they're soft as fook!

Haha £100? I don't think I'll get away with that! The local race team got me a discount on the Gaz gold setup for my Mazda, has anyone got a part number and I can ask him? (or if anyone else is interested in stuff from Gaz, Mintex or Pro-Race wheels?)

What about Peugeot OEM shocks, good value or stupid prices?

Interested in mintex 1155 pads for the '6, but only provisionally at the mo Smile
Also very much interest only, but Gaz Gold dampers with 275lb main springs & helpers? Tongue

Yea I will find out for you buddy, I don't know how competitive he will be but he buys pads in bulk for the race cars Smile

Is the part number for the Gaz units on an eBay listing somewhere?...

Worth trying some estate rear shocks for the cars with 21mm bars?
Were stiffer after 135k on my estate than the new racelands!

RE: Recommended rear shocks? - C.A.R. - 30-10-2012

GAZ GT adjustable rear shocks part number is GT6-2186. Unsure whether this is a part number for a pair?!

Anywho, I will try to get a price from my mate. If anyone wants some rates on Mintex pads let me know the part number before lunchtime and I can ask about those too!

RE: Recommended rear shocks? - Midnightclub - 30-10-2012

Any chance of finding out a price for a set of GHA's for a 6'?

RE: Recommended rear shocks? - C.A.R. - 30-10-2012

What's a GHA? Gaz Height Adjustable? Or summit?!

EDIT- Found, part # is GHA323
