Rolling Front Arches - spawn - 03-01-2012 Now that my cab is in the weeds it scrapes the arches going over any bump in the road. I think im going to roll the arches. I assume the plastic inner wings need to come out? Do i need a heat gun, block of wood and a hammer? And will i need to paint the arches? Re: Rolling Front Arches - Dum-Dum - 03-01-2012 I have a pro body shop arch roller if you want to borrow it for a very small fee. You do need to remove the liners and heat does help but there is still a very good chance youll crack your paint. usually youll only crack it just inside the edge so id just hammerite over the inner edge if you do to prevent rust. Re: Rolling Front Arches - spawn - 03-01-2012 Can you trim the liners and put them back in? Re: Rolling Front Arches - Dum-Dum - 03-01-2012 yep, I tend to trim the lip off the liner and use the rolled arch to pin it back Re: Rolling Front Arches - spawn - 03-01-2012 Lovely, thanks for offering your pro kit, but i think i will stick with a hammer. Re: Rolling Front Arches - Bananalad - 03-01-2012 Trimming the lip will loose some of the strength in the wing would you not be better bending it back up? Re: Rolling Front Arches - Bananalad - 03-01-2012 Never mind i read that wrong Rolling Front Arches - Matt - 03-01-2012 Bananalad Wrote:Trimming the lip will loose some of the strength in the wing would you not be better bending it back up? Bending it back is what arch rolling is ![]() Re: Rolling Front Arches - Bananalad - 03-01-2012 Matt Wrote:Bananalad Wrote:Trimming the lip will loose some of the strength in the wing would you not be better bending it back up? I thought they wanted to cut the lip on the wing itself instead of rolling it ![]() Rolling Front Arches - Matt - 03-01-2012 Nope trimming the arch liner so you can still use it ![]() |
