holding back - Will_306_hdi - 18-10-2012 My hdi seems to hold back and hesitate when youonly use abit of throttle. I was gonna put her up forsale as i want a phase 2 dturbo but doesnt look like gonna be able to now also the speedo started jumping now doesnt work at all now. Does anyone know what issue is?. Or does someone want to give me enough money for her to buy a phase 2?. Lol. RE: holding back - Poodle - 18-10-2012 What reg is it? Could be the air-doser butterfly closing up, if your egr is blocked i should think that would starve the engine enough to cause a slight hesitation, had the same problem with an old one of mine. Speedo could be down to the sensor or wiring, probably the latter. RE: holding back - Will_306_hdi - 18-10-2012 2001 Yreg. Like i said i was gonna put it up for sale cuz i want a dturbo or something with the xud lump in RE: holding back - Toms306 - 18-10-2012 Is it jumpy on part throttle? Mine is, right pita but probably just a sensor at fault! RE: holding back - Will_306_hdi - 18-10-2012 (18-10-2012, 09:49 PM)Toms306 Wrote: Is it jumpy on part throttle? Mine is, right pita but probably just a sensor at fault! It is jumpy now you mention it. What sort of sensor. RE: holding back - Toms306 - 18-10-2012 If I knew what sensor I'd have fixed mine haha! ![]() Could be pressure sensor, throttle sensor, air sensor, any of them really which is why I've just left it for now. RE: holding back - Connor - 18-10-2012 If its feeling "down" on power and the spared isn't working, my money is on that being the fault. Mine does it very occasionally, the speedo drops down to 0 and when it starts working again, the power kicks straight back in. Few people have reported this too, my thinking is that as the ecu doesn't know what speed its doing, it can't calculate the optimum fueling |
