Bucket seat subframes - 4WayDiablo - 17-10-2012 So I've got hold of some seats and subframes and I'm trying to get them in but it doesn't seem to fit? Here is the trouble I'm having the plate that goes on the side of the car does not seem to be long enough? And Now I'm not being thick and trying to attatxh them in the wrong place? They are supposed to go where the original seats bolt in? And yes 3dr to 3 dr RE: Bucket seat subframes - Kimmie - 17-10-2012 Also, these have just come off a 306, so they definitely do fit! RE: Bucket seat subframes - 4WayDiablo - 17-10-2012 I just can't see where I'm going wrong? Using this thread for reference too http://www.306gti6.com/forum/showthread.php?id=150377&page=2 RE: Bucket seat subframes - Matt - 17-10-2012 I removed then as they definatley all bolted to the correct holes, have you put the two peices together? After seeing your picture, Take the large section, take it out, turn 180 degrees and refit. Iirc when I removed it was the other way round RE: Bucket seat subframes - 4WayDiablo - 17-10-2012 I've not bolted it together and tried But its not the larger piece that's the problem. The l shaped piece just doesn't line up. I'll have ago at it on Friday maybe I've put the L shaped peice every which way up and tried to line up any holes but it just doesn't go. This has got me totally baffled The bottom of my pictures the bottom hole is lined up with the correct hole but as you can see the top just doesn't line up It also doesn't line up on the passenger side I don't have to use any parts from my original seats at all? RE: Bucket seat subframes - Pompey306mark - 17-10-2012 Got them the right way around? RE: Bucket seat subframes - cully - 17-10-2012 your using the wrong tool try a hammer! RE: Bucket seat subframes - Dum-Dum - 17-10-2012 Longer bolts and a bit of ally strip between the plate and the sill mounts? RE: Bucket seat subframes - Scott - 17-10-2012 Anyone else down the road with a 306 you can try to fit them to? I honestly don't know how it couldn't fit as all 3 door 306s have the same frames and bolt holes. RE: Bucket seat subframes - puglove - 17-10-2012 Its because your trying to put buckets in a derv. Ot just isnt ment to be RE: Bucket seat subframes - 4WayDiablo - 17-10-2012 Think I'll have to try your idea by the looks of it dum I could use Sam's dads car but can't be added to pull it apart May go down scrappy and see RE: Bucket seat subframes - Pompey306mark - 17-10-2012 Mate if you need a hand or another point of view, give us a shout. RE: Bucket seat subframes - 4WayDiablo - 17-10-2012 I'll just go the dum dum route tomorrow morning and see what I come out with lol RE: Bucket seat subframes - Pompey306mark - 17-10-2012 They must fit a correct way otherwise they would not have fitted in the other car without modification. I doubt your car is different in any way to other 306's. RE: Bucket seat subframes - 4WayDiablo - 17-10-2012 So how does it fit then! Lmao this has got me stumped... short of the dum dum route I don't get it lol RE: Bucket seat subframes - Matt - 17-10-2012 It did fit before, as Scott drive to his in it fitted, and I removed it fitted properly. But using those photos I fail to see how to fit it lol RE: Bucket seat subframes - 4WayDiablo - 18-10-2012 KKnow anyone else running these subframes/weird shape thing combo? RE: Bucket seat subframes - Matt - 18-10-2012 No idea, if you still haven't done it Saturday I'm drop in, probably late afternoon. See if I can make heard or tails of it RE: Bucket seat subframes - Dum-Dum - 18-10-2012 Pop up here if you want and ill have a go at them, if not I have the ally strip to make the filler RE: Bucket seat subframes - 4WayDiablo - 18-10-2012 I've got something I could cut up to use :-) thanks for the offers though muchos appreciated |
