Anyone work with a lathe/cnc? - cwspellowe - 16-10-2012

Anyone here got access to a lathe or CNC machine? Need some hub adapters bored out from 63mm centre bore to 65.1mm...

We have CNC and lathes at work! Guys make loads of machined parts, and are good at it, and kinda have to be... Bit far from you though...!

Hmm how much would we be talking to turn 4x adapters? All I need is 1.05mm radius taken off each

If I have a word, can get it done for nowt! Will just be postage... Wink

Might be an option then, think you'd be able to press in wheel studs while they're there?

Weld in studs maybe, not too sure on pressing!

Get studs made with a M14 thread on one end and pug M12 on the other then just tap the adaptors.

CNC lathe would knock those studs up in minutes.

not sure about tapping the adapters though, they're billet ally and i'm not convinced on thread strength...

Know what? f*ck it. I'm taking a flap wheel to them. They're lugcentric anyway, just going to keep removing material til they just about fit the hub. Bodgetastic.

Going to pull ford m12x1.5 studs into them too using the ol' nut-and-washer method. For the lolz.
