Steering column - Slam Wagon - 15-10-2012

Ive set me steering column/ wheel as low as it will go. Does anyone know if i can lower it another 10mm(ish). Or just any lower at all?

Thanks

Ian

Might be able to get some longer bolts and spacers to replace the ones holding it to the framework thats welded to the body but how good this will be for the UJ is another question. And it might foul the bottom of the dash and other various bits

Oh ok, ill have to have a look and see about spacing it, cheers.

You could probably only shim it another 3-5mm I reckon, otherwise you'll be running out of thread on the mounts...

You might be stretching the loom abit thats going to the indicators, lights etc but if you only want 10mm it wont matter much..

The loom for the indicators / ignition on my phase 3 had loads of slack on it!

I had trouble lining my rack back up after fitting the brake light switch, it's a b*stard of a job to get the front and rear support to line up all at once.
