Aux Belt - Tyronnster - 13-10-2012 Lost my aux belt on route to Scotland last night. Just calling to get replacement an I'm told there is 2 available. Anyone able to shed light N reg phase 1 306 PAS No air con. HELP I'm told choice of 2 one is 10mm longer Aux Belt - kentiiboii - 13-10-2012 One is if you have aircon. Other is if you havnt. RE: Aux Belt - Toms306 - 13-10-2012 As Kent says....the ac one will obviously be longer.... Aux Belt - kentiiboii - 13-10-2012 Whoop I got something right! Re: Aux Belt - Tyronnster - 13-10-2012 Got the two belts supplied an for the life of me can't get either in. Aaarrrggg RE: Aux Belt - Toms306 - 13-10-2012 You are routing them right yeah? Got my belt on slightly wrong first time (was in a hurry!) and had a load of slack leftover lol, checked the haynes and re-routed it properly, was damn tight though! Re: Aux Belt - Tyronnster - 13-10-2012 There don't seem enough slack if honest. Just had a thought was converted from Lucas to Bosch could that be an issue Re: Aux Belt - Tyronnster - 13-10-2012 Can someone who help incase I'm routing wrong Aux Belt - kentiiboii - 13-10-2012 Put a spanner on the tensioner and get someone to push the spanner while you pop the aux belt on. The tensioner lets of lots of slack this way. Re: Aux Belt - Tyronnster - 13-10-2012 Its a manual one an got the thing pushed as much as piss. RE: Aux Belt - Jake949 - 02-11-2012 swapping the fuel pump wont matter, thats on the cambelt not aux. RE: Aux Belt - Curt - 02-11-2012 It'll should be pretty obvious if you're routing it wrong... So you've got two options really; wrong belt, or the tensioner isn't slackened off properly. You loosened everything yeah? There's the 2 13mm bolts, then the hex bolt at the top to wind in and out. |
