Aux Belt - Tyronnster - 13-10-2012
Lost my aux belt on route to Scotland last night.
Just calling to get replacement an I'm told there is 2 available.
Anyone able to shed light
N reg phase 1 306
PAS
No air con.
HELP
I'm told choice of 2 one is 10mm longer

One is if you have aircon. Other is if you havnt.

You are routing them right yeah?
Got my belt on slightly wrong first time (was in a hurry!) and had a load of slack leftover lol, checked the haynes and re-routed it properly, was damn tight though!

There don't seem enough slack if honest.
Just had a thought was converted from Lucas to Bosch could that be an issue

Put a spanner on the tensioner and get someone to push the spanner while you pop the aux belt on. The tensioner lets of lots of slack this way.

Its a manual one an got the thing pushed as much as piss.

swapping the fuel pump wont matter, thats on the cambelt not aux.

It'll should be pretty obvious if you're routing it wrong... So you've got two options really; wrong belt, or the tensioner isn't slackened off properly. You loosened everything yeah? There's the 2 13mm bolts, then the hex bolt at the top to wind in and out.
