st st st stuttering - smokey - 27-09-2012
Was driving along the other day 1300 revs ish planted it and it stuttered asif it missed but it only does it at about that revs in any gear is that a flatspot in the map???

Thought so. Start with the basic. Check spark plugs. If not then new coil pack time. If that doesnt fix it, you probably need a new ecu.
The coil packs on the 1.8 break down and can short the ecu. Problem is the sagem ecu used on the 1.8 is so shockingly shit it either makes it do weird things or just stops it from working all together.

Niall will make you one out of lego if you like? he has claimed in the past that he could make a better one out of lego so it will be better than the OE one, so its an upgrade rather than replacing it for an OE one.
But on a serious note i no nothing about the 1.8s so i will stop trolling and leave

Best work out a price and let him know then, TBH if its just lego i can image it will be pretty cheap

could do but i cant guarantee it will make it into the form of a ECU. Maybe a boat or house or something.
