Bloody women.

Try using a knife or a gun, should fix the root of the problem quickly and easily.

HTH.

Door card off and run a +ve and -ve directly to the motor, then leave the motor unplugged till ya get it sorted!

failing that, if the motor's buggered, take the winder off the motor (just 3 screws IIRC) and turn it manually with long nose pliers.

you mean run a wire from the battery to the motor and it will go up?. what if the motor has gone is there a chance it can shut?. cheers

Aye, just pull door card off, and if you have a multimeter you'll probably find a 12v somewhere at the switches, run a wire from there direct to the motor, or if you have a spare battery you can just run it from there. If the motors buggered then do as Jonny suggests.

When you try to move the window can you hear anything happening?
Hopefully you can't in which case it will just be the motor, or more likely just the door loom wiring. Bare in mind that the door loom on the drivers side also affects the passenger side, ie a brake drivers side can stop passenger side from working!
