veg?? - dec-66 - 11-09-2012 hi ive got a dturbo with a Bosch and i was wondering what the best mix to start of with for example 50/50 of diesel and veg, also are there any problems that will follow from using veg oil cheeers RE: veg?? - 4WayDiablo - 11-09-2012 Only problem is when it gets cold but just thin it down with petrol or similar No set percentage just dive in at whatever you want Keep a spare fuel filter in the boot in case and I'd change it 2x as often at least veg?? - Jake - 11-09-2012 Just sling it in. RE: veg?? - Jonny81191 - 11-09-2012 any amount is saving money, even a gallon a tank. doesn't really seem to matter though, until it gets cold! RE: veg?? - lolsteve - 11-09-2012 2 stroke is meant to help thin it out a bit when things get lumpy veg?? - ash240970 - 11-09-2012 If you can find some sunflower oil at a good price put that in instead over the winter as it needs to get a lot colder than veg before it starts going lumpy. RE: veg?? - londondan86 - 11-09-2012 As already said change the fuel filter after 100 mioes as the veg is quite corosive and will clear all the shit out of the tank/lines and clog the filter very quickly. Then change it at half the usual recommended intervals. As for the mix, I just run it straight in the summer and a 50/50 mix in the winter. |
