front mount help advise me - raymond76 - 27-12-2011 well my car is running around 110 120 bhp after a map i want more power but not so much that i need a clutch every 2 weeks lol... de cat "where from?" AND DUM DUM said front mount is it a big job and will i be able to pay the morgage still? ![]() Re: front mount help advise me - Poodle - 27-12-2011 If you persist and do some mix'n'matching you should be able to do intercooler, piping, brackets and clamps for as little as £100 from the scrappy. Then need a map for £60(?), depending on who you go to - pro_steve or TB206HDi. Highly recommended you also get a new clutch to suit, conversion to a DT clutch from CG seems to be the best cheap option atm - couple of bits from the scrappy (flywheel, arm, bracket), new cable and paddle clutch will see you back about £200, depending exactly how you do it / how much you find in the scrappy. Its better to cut it open and weld it shut on the top rather than welding a pipe in because theyer talking about changing the MOT rules to say that is a cat was fitted as std it must still be fitted for the MOT. It wont effect the emissions test as we only get smoke density. With a de-cat and a stage 2 map I passed the MOT with a 0.8 on the smoke test (3 is the limit) Guide Here - http://306oc.co.uk/forum/thread-41.html FMIC - Read these then come back if you have any questions FMIC Theory Guide http://306oc.co.uk/forum/thread-40.html Pipe routing thread in the XUD section http://306oc.co.uk/forum/thread-432.html Clutch. IMO the best bet is to get a brand new helix clutch (about £400) and fit that o the std HDi fly wheel, messing around with new release arms and that it pointless when the helix works |
