Skoda did a good job! - Niall - 22-08-2012 Octavia went in for a service a little while back. As usual the lease company asked for any issues to be flagged to them so the works can be done. Service was done and I was told it just needs a new tyre due to low tread. So today I take it to kwikfit for a new tyre and the guy comes back and says your going to have to leave it with us. Needs new discs, new pads all round, and 3 new tyres. 1 low and two with bulges on the back of them. How the hell can a garage miss that. Since, I've had a look my self and he's right. Used a tyre depth gauge to measure the lip on the front discs...... ![]() Yes that's 3mm! RE: Skoda did a good job! - Connor - 22-08-2012 They probably didn't even take the wheels off... RE: Skoda did a good job! - Niall - 22-08-2012 Forgot to mention, they did the front pads on the service because they were low! RE: Skoda did a good job! - Connor - 22-08-2012 Oh then that's just retarded RE: Skoda did a good job! - cpikey316_ - 22-08-2012 I took my old car to peugeot for a service once (how thick am I, right?) Fair play to them, they did actually replace the fuel filter, but they broke the fuel filter strap in the process. Main dealer, £180 service, they'll replace it with the £7 part, won't they? No, the cheap f*ckers used a cable tie. Haven't been there since. RE: Skoda did a good job! - Matt - 22-08-2012 Holy crap, did it even use to stop with such little brakes? RE: Skoda did a good job! - Tom - 23-08-2012 Kwik fit doing something right?! It cant be?! But in all seriousness (i dont usually use big words but) a 3mm lip is appalling :/ |
