What's this little box of tricks? - 4WayDiablo - 18-08-2012 Because I have no idea. Found under the rear seats Think it may be alarm related So what is it? What does it do? And can I get rid of it? Lol RE: What's this little box of tricks? - Toby - 18-08-2012 It's part of your central locking system. An element of a 3rd party alarm/immob/locking? May even be OEM? I'm only familiar with ph1's... RE: What's this little box of tricks? - Matt - 18-08-2012 Someone stripping there car ![]() Yeah you can't get rid, although mine doesn't have it :/ RE: What's this little box of tricks? - cully - 18-08-2012 ejector seat controls RE: What's this little box of tricks? - Niall - 18-08-2012 Yeah that's ph2 fail central locking....well it looks like the usual BSI to me but apparently the ph2s still have that under the dash! RE: What's this little box of tricks? - 4WayDiablo - 18-08-2012 Oh OK fair enough. Had to do a full detox in the rear after a puker ;-/ Spotted this and wondered RE: What's this little box of tricks? - CJ_Derv - 18-08-2012 Central locking module if you ever have CL probs you can bypass a wire in there to get it to lock, when you have the problem of it unlocking after you lock it I had on phase 2 but have another phase 2 with ph3 bumpers and cant find this box lol RE: What's this little box of tricks? - 4WayDiablo - 18-08-2012 (18-08-2012, 03:20 PM)CJ_Derv Wrote: Central locking module if you ever have CL probs you can bypass a wire in there to get it to lock, when you have the problem of it unlocking after you lock it Probably a crossover PBS with RF locking? RE: What's this little box of tricks? - Joe - 24-08-2012 how far are you stripping it? RE: What's this little box of tricks? - Matt - 24-08-2012 He's not, he said he's had to take things out as some puked in his car, so guess hes giving it a bloody good clean lol RE: What's this little box of tricks? - C.A.R. - 24-08-2012 Whilst we're on this subject, what are the two brass hexagonal pointy-uppy things under the rear bench as seen in the OP photo? there's one either side. Previous owner over-tightened one of mine and it's broken clean off!! RE: What's this little box of tricks? - Niall - 24-08-2012 If you look in the base of the seat there's a hole that they sit in. There there to stop the seat base moving forwards when down. RE: What's this little box of tricks? - Eeyore - 30-08-2012 Mine gets stuck on those and then wont pull up! D: RE: What's this little box of tricks? - Matt - 31-08-2012 Found my box of tricks, was relocated to under the drivers seat ![]() |
