Taken my bonnet badge off, want to spray it all black and the lion green, can
I take the lion off so it's not messy? Tried lever it off with a knife but it just isn't happening.

Its bolted on. Theres just one nut to take off I think.

Open the bonnet and look underneath the badge.

I've taken that off. Just want to take the silver bit off the actual badge to paint it

Is glued on I did the same as with head lights stick it in the oven, lightly prised it out with a Stanley blade

Ok gareth7 he knows.

RE: Lion - Matt - 16-08-2012

I just pulled mine apart, it's glued and pinned.

RE: Lion - 4WayDiablo - 16-08-2012

Yeah as matt :-) just pulled it off. Might break it though lol

RE: Lion - kernow_joe - 16-08-2012

yeah thats why I heated mine up, not sure if it made a difference or not

RE: Lion - Eeyore - 16-08-2012

i heated mine and drilled out the sprews and still broke it. Id suggest just masking it off. I did that on mine and its a really impressive job seeing as it took 15 minutes!

RE: Lion - gareth7 - 17-08-2012

Use a drill......very carefully.......10 second job

RE: Lion - kernow_joe - 17-08-2012

don't be a heavy handed twat and heat it and gently lever under each point that its held, easy to see from the back where the fixing points are, then you can do a proper job of it, same goes for the surround
