Re: lights - Dan! - 16-08-2012 Yeah I know of some decent lights RE: lights - Eeyore - 16-08-2012 HIDS RE: lights - Matt - 17-08-2012 Lights from halfords? Enough said RE: lights - puglove - 17-08-2012 Is he talking about bulbs or actual light units ? RE: lights - bighead02 - 19-08-2012 Sorry forgot about saying what type headlights thats what i needed to no will hids fail an mot? RE: lights - Toms306 - 19-08-2012 HIDs are crap. Too damn bright, fed up of being blinded by other peoples. Also, being a phase 2 you will have the frosted headlights yes? Get rid of them for some crystals, then get some ice white normal bulbs.... RE: lights - WiNgNuTz - 19-08-2012 Im with Tom on this one. I'd recommend Osram Nightbreakers, as ive got them in my headlights, and noticed a fair improvement from standard bulbs, especially on high beam. They're a little bit whiter than your average bulb, not by much, but i cant really fault them. RE: lights - bighead02 - 19-08-2012 Ive got a phase 3 so no probs with the glass so you reckon osram night breakers then? RE: lights - Toms306 - 19-08-2012 My bad, read phase 2 for some reason lol. But yeah, I never had a problem with decent bulbs in crystals. RE: lights - cully - 19-08-2012 if you eat carrots you should be able to see in the dark RE: lights - Glen306 - 20-08-2012 hid will fail an mot if the headlight has a plastic cover and if there is no spray directly onto the lens to cool it down RE: lights - Niall - 22-08-2012 (20-08-2012, 12:11 AM)Glen306 Wrote: hid will fail an mot if the headlight has a plastic cover and if there is no spray directly onto the lens to cool it down Slightly wrong there. Plastic covers are fine. They need to be self levelling though. And the spray is not to cool them. The headlines require washers to try and prevent light scatter from dirt. Nightbreakers do me just fine even round the really dark country roads we have round here.. better to play it safe! RE: lights - bighead02 - 23-08-2012 Well thats what im thinking play it safe i think ill have to go with them bcoz as much as i like the hids i also wanna pass my mot lol cheers for all the comments osrams it is RE: lights - Niall - 23-08-2012 I really rate Philips blue vision. There bloody expensive (£30 for 2) but there miles better than night breakers and have a years warranty. RE: lights - bighead02 - 25-08-2012 O ryt nice will have to have a look for them and i dont mind how much they cost as long as they work if you get me RE: lights - Niall - 25-08-2012 Yeah really good. Will be buying my self some now the winter nights are coming.
