Lean green Swedish machine! - cpikey316_ - 12-08-2012

Going to do what i've been talking about doing for ages, and painting some of the black plastics green on my Saab!

Started on the wheels, have done the final paint coat and taken a quick preview!

Going to lacquer tomorrow, then start on the other two!

RE: Lean green Swedish machine! - THE_Liam - 15-08-2012

people think they are so dull, but they can be tuned to be very exciting.

bit like a DT i suppose.

plan to save for some go next. need a steering rack brace first though.

Update #2

Just finished these, not happy with the fit of the foglights though

RE: Lean green Swedish machine! - Niall - 16-08-2012

Thought about dropping a 95 aero engine in? Stealth Vigen would be purely epic!

RE: Lean green Swedish machine! - cpikey316_ - 16-08-2012

Gonna play with the 9-3 engine first!

£100 upgrade should get me 45 more bhp Smile

RE: Lean green Swedish machine! - Niall - 16-08-2012

Well look at it this way...,they did put that engine in the 93 Vigen...just very rare and rediculous. Where I used to take mine, he had a mint one that was mapped in a hirsch map to 310bhp and just shy of 400ft torque!

RE: Lean green Swedish machine! - cpikey316_ - 16-08-2012

315bhp and 430nm is the highest kit on the site I normally buy parts from. There is a list of replacements parts as long as my arm in that though, and no price! lol

RE: Lean green Swedish machine! - Niall - 16-08-2012

Elk parts? I had such a long list of stuff to buy from there!

RE: Lean green Swedish machine! - cpikey316_ - 16-08-2012

neo bros! elk parts shut down

RE: Lean green Swedish machine! - Niall - 16-08-2012

Ah shit. Suppose that was probably because everyone got scared and sold their saabs when they went under!
Neo bros did me a good price when my DI cassette went!

RE: Lean green Swedish machine! - cpikey316_ - 18-08-2012

*Update*

Started on other bits today! Using Halfords white primer (which is a bit rubbish, seems to be lots of white dust!)

Black plastic on bumper primered White (going green tomorrow!)

Front bit including little Saab in the middle in white, also going green tomorrow!

RE: Lean green Swedish machine! - Joe - 24-08-2012

any more pics dude? i want my saab back!

RE: Lean green Swedish machine! - cpikey316_ - 24-08-2012

No Joe, mainly due to ECP being useless c*nts.

Waiting for more paint. bumper needs another coat or two of green!!

Paint should be here on wednesday.

RE: Lean green Swedish machine! - cpikey316_ - 28-08-2012

ECP finally got my paint to me today! So am starting on finishing the paint on the front end! Will post pictures later!!

RE: Lean green Swedish machine! - cpikey316_ - 28-08-2012

*UPDATE*

As promised! I've finished the green spraying now. Car is happily sat in the garage waiting for the coats of lacquer tomorrow! But I have a sneak preview for all of you!!

Bumper looks patchy! Im hoping thats just the darkness of the garage!!
