Basically i see all these names on the forum and we all end up talking but i havent the faintest clue what everyone does for a living.. Though it would be interesting for myself and hopefully everyone else if we all knew what we done Smile

I have just finished my level 3 motor vehicle course at college and im trying to find full time work, i work part time in a bakery cleaning Smile

Just finishing up a placement with SKF. Im in their racing devision and i design mostly bearings for gearboxes. I have done some wheel bearings for some teams too.

once thats finished i will be back at uni and working in a local pub Sad

I'm a fire alarm engineer mostly doing servicing and repairs working in sheltered housing, care homes and social housing...basically horrible places that stink of beer and weed or have mental old people that fight and generally stink of piss.

I've just finished level 3 BTEC in vechicle maintenance and repair.

Currently doing various odd jobs to make a bit of dollar while looking for some proper work.

Currently I just mince about for a living...

I should be an AV/Warehouse Technician - I test equipment in off hire, PAT test it, get it ready to go out, then sometimes when I'm allowed out on day release, set it up at the venue.

Hopefully gonna be handing my notice in soon though, and going back to building for a company called W.S. Wright, who maintain and renovate pubs/clubs all around the south-east of england.

Having said that I collect medical waste, i guess i mean that my teammate gets the good job, and i do the driving. lol

I trained for 3 years and qualified as a mechanic..

I work at Adrian Flux in the specialist vehicles department so I insure anything thats not the every day run of the mill car, & anything modified really!


EDIT before i get 6000 pm's asking for cheap insurance.. no i cant get amazing discounts or free insurance for people, i can quote you but it'll be the same price anyone else from flux will quote you! If you say you are a member of 306 owners club you will get a discount though! Smile

I'm a fully trained panel beater but @ the moment im a driver @ Europcar, absolutely lovein it in this weather as get 2 cruze around in brand new motors with the aircon on Big Grin lol

Currently I'm a delivery driver at Pizza Hut, get to drive my car about and get paid for it so could be worse.

Did Software Development at college and done desktop support in the past, trying to get back into IT. Once I'm back from my holiday going to start applying for other things as fed up of what I'm doing now.

About to start 3 year uni, doing Civil and Structural engineering. This summer however I'm spending lots of my free time doing work experience with a structural engineering firm, already got a job offer which is a weight off my mind for finishing uni

Student at the university of Birmingham, studying MEng mechanical engineering (automotive), but working at Pall aerospace (also worked here for a year between college and uni, just back for the summer)as a production engineer, mostly doing CAD and drafting work.

Hopefully next summer I'll be working up in Birmingham somewhere automotive based.

I'm a chemical engineer at a coking plant , 1200 degree heat 12 hour shifts back breaking work Smile and I love it lol the 180 days off a year is quite a perk though Wink .
Just came back from my interview for a job on the refractory team climbing in and re-building the ovens quite excited Smile so I don't only have chronic coal coming out of my car I also work with it too lol

Work around 16 hours a week.

3 days a week im a maintenance man doing a bit of plumbing, electrics, gas and anything else required, i also do a bit of night time work for them aswell where i just watch people play football and make sure theres no fighting AND if there short i get to play and get paid for it lol,

2 days a week im a component level laptop technician and have to fix motherboards where people spill drinks over it drop them and fcuk them up

AND

i work for myself on the night times repairing my own customers pcs, laptops, tv's basically anything electrical Smile

Level 3 mechanic with a MOT testers licence Smile Also got trained by my dad to do car body repair and spraying. Got trained by a 40+ years of experience and love it.

Also work at Speedy hire for 6 months recently when my old garage I worked at shut down. Done PAT testing, driving and fork lift driving.
