UK Getaway's..? - ginge191 - 26-06-2012 So, looking at taking a week away at the end of July with a 'lady friend' to somewhere in the UK. Initially, we were looking at France, but realised paying near enough £400 for a ferry alone, a break in the UK could and would be just as good. Can anyone recommend anything; mainly for relaxing. Preferably not camping, perhaps somewhere 4/5 star, a spa perhaps? Can anyone recommend anything at all? Any locations? And no, not the south coast/Hampshire area if possible. Thanks! RE: UK Getaway's..? - Niall - 26-06-2012 Me and Fiona went to K west spa in shepards bush and it was great. If you go on their site, they have all sorts of deals on. It's not the cheapest place in the world but it's very posh (tbh I felt like a peasant in there) and very nice! RE: UK Getaway's..? - strictly_perv - 26-06-2012 Butlins. Perhaps somewhere on the coast? RE: UK Getaway's..? - Niall - 26-06-2012 (26-06-2012, 06:08 PM)ginge191 Wrote: That sounds pretty awesome to be fair Niall, is that a chain of spas? Stones throw from westfield so got loads of places for dinner or just round the corner from shepards bush underground so could go into town for the eve. RE: UK Getaway's..? - thms182 - 26-06-2012 I wish you'd stop referring to me as your 'lady friend'. RE: UK Getaway's..? - Toby - 26-06-2012 Visit Norway, it's awesome. If this is the same 'lady friend' we discussed the other day, then you are a hound. RE: UK Getaway's..? - ginge191 - 26-06-2012 Not a bad shout Niall, cheers! Might even get a mini meet on the go Max, afraid butlins is toooo classy for this chick /whistle And Tom, no, not you, your not a friend, let alone a lady Toby; we discussed a lady?? I remember discussing wanting to puke!? Text me.. Plus, Norway is too far RE: UK Getaway's..? - thms182 - 26-06-2012 That reply doesn't surprise me at all. /forever alone. RE: UK Getaway's..? - thms182 - 26-06-2012 Shut up. Might be changing cars soon. And we're going over to pompey soon to pick me up some clone, jsyk. RE: UK Getaway's..? - ginge191 - 26-06-2012 All lies.. Anywho... Anyone got anymore ideas? Alwys liked the idea of Scotland? Or peak district? Mr hairy online? RE: UK Getaway's..? - thms182 - 26-06-2012 I've never been but the Peak District looks amazing, get a little cabin in the middle of nowhere and go wild. RE: UK Getaway's..? - ginge191 - 26-06-2012 Could be a good idea, would ideally like a spa type resort and be massaged by some trainee therapist; she's not too good at the massage thing, tends to attack more than soothe me RE: UK Getaway's..? - Pompey306mark - 26-06-2012 Depends what you want mate my parents and niece went to college in Cornwall and had a good time. Highlands would be nice and peaceful. Spa's can cost a fortune if you don't get things included. RE: UK Getaway's..? - ginge191 - 26-06-2012 Yeh, money isn't too much of an issue, a short week break, also, she's minted!! I jokes.. But yeh, a place in the highlands could be pretty swell! Might pop onto google when I get home and have a ganders at what's going! UK Getaway's..? - MissTap_GTI6 - 26-06-2012 Make sure that these places accept your derv as your 'lady friend' and that the rooms are big enough to fit 'her' in the bedroom. /troll RE: UK Getaway's..? - Toby - 26-06-2012 (26-06-2012, 07:36 PM)MissTait_GTI6 Wrote: Make sure that these places accept your derv as your 'lady friend' and that the rooms are big enough to fit 'her' in the bedroom. /troll It's okay, Stephen's turbo is so small and insignificant it can fit anywhere RE: UK Getaway's..? - strictly_perv - 26-06-2012 (26-06-2012, 07:38 PM)Toby Wrote:(26-06-2012, 07:36 PM)MissTait_GTI6 Wrote: Make sure that these places accept your derv as your 'lady friend' and that the rooms are big enough to fit 'her' in the bedroom. /troll RE: UK Getaway's..? - ginge191 - 26-06-2012 So insignificant it pulls from almighty gov'd bosches and T2's?! Ohhhhh... And misstait, back out... Any decent input would be appreciated, this lady friend can be a picky bitch so constructive feedback would be appreciated. UK Getaway's..? - MissTap_GTI6 - 26-06-2012 Burn!! Well, I think you should take her to New York. Leave the dirty derv on the rock. RE: UK Getaway's..? - Jonny81191 - 26-06-2012 Oban Bay Hotel? Easy access on main roads, tons to do locally, one of the nicer "tourist" spots in Scotland, and a short distance from some of the best coastilne in the UK! Can't vouch for the hotel personally, but I have heard good things RE: UK Getaway's..? - Stephen - 26-06-2012 Lake vrnway hotel sounds along the lines of what you are looking for! Think its pretty expensive thou. Real nice area and some great roads around there too like through snowdonia national park Quite a lot of things nearby yet its a great location RE: UK Getaway's..? - ginge191 - 26-06-2012 Ad Oban malts have an awesome reputation! Few whiskies would go down a treat. Again, misstait, I think I might save a NY/Canada trip for our first year anniversary! She just needs to be patient! RE: UK Getaway's..? - Toby - 26-06-2012 PM'd you with a more serious suggestion.. It's a hidden gem RE: UK Getaway's..? - Jonny81191 - 26-06-2012 speaking of roads...
