Drain, flush, fill, bleed.
What engine is it?

Its the 1.4 meridian how do i bleed it back through

Bleed point at the back on coming of the heater matrix. Make sure you cut the top off a small coke bottle and fill it till half way up there. Helps push the air out the bleed nipple as the water level will be higher. Smile

What coolant type should be used though, red/blue?

It would depend on what you are using actually. While there are those who would want to consider them to work without any problem, there are those that are going to have some problems in how they are functioning well.

Hopefully that the simple drain, flush, fill and bleed method would work really well for you.
