Cleaning my dturbo engine! help - scottbmxer - 29-05-2012

My dturbo needs an engine clean and was wondering if you could give me some help or a guide how to do it for the best way ...

1. Cover the battery, alternator & air intake.

2. Pressure wash the f*ck out of it

Stand back & admire your work!

Cover anything that wont take to getting too wet, ie. battery alternator air filter. Also cover electrical connections in wd40 then cling film. Then spray engine with a strong de-greaser, or truck wash. leave to soak for a couple of minutes then pressure wash/steam clean off. Then once dry use something like tyre shine on the plastics to make them stand out.

Bring it down to the boys at the car wash, get them to hot wash the f*ck out of it, job done Big Grin Personally I've never covered anything up and had it washed a fair few times and all has been grand.

Shouldn't you keep it running while pressure washing?

I'd use G101 and a jet wash, keep your engine started cover battery and alternator.. did mine earlier ill put a pic up later
