Chris's Black GTi - Chris - 28-05-2012

Picked this up on the bay for £550, wasn't expecting to win it for that price, but it was badly listed with very little info. Only issue it was 170 miles away!
Went up with bigsam to collect it in his converted gti.

Upon collection it has a stamped service book till 70-80k then all the receipts from the previous owner from 99k onwards. The body work is almost immaculate too, needs a drivers door that I already have.

It also has a recently fitted Scorpion exhaust and Magnex decat.

Plans are to full ph3 the outside (rubstrips, side repeaters, black masks, rallye blanks and splitter) Also need to paint the spoiler, mirror bases and fuel filler cap strips satin black
Full Ph3 the inside and ph1 full leather seats (dials and surrounds, handbrake, new gearknob, and heater vent sliders), eventually its getting a ph3 loom conversion for the rf locking.

Also ditching the gay 17s for some lazers as a temp measure till I get the nimrods done. and swapping out the apex's that I have on the breaker.

Anyway some pics from on the way home

Re: Chris's Black GTi - Chris - 28-05-2012

Suprisingly good. Needs the door changing but that's about it really.

Re: Chris's Black GTi - Jacko - 28-05-2012

tbh for £550 if it was a dogger - you could break it and still lose next to nothing

Re: Chris's Black GTi - 4WayDiablo - 28-05-2012

does look very nice! should be really smart with them plans

Re: Chris's Black GTi - sam - 01-06-2012

Shame it cost around £140 in fuel for both cars Sad but was a fun drive back though boyo Wink

Re: Chris's Black GTi - Chris - 01-06-2012

£120 sam, still expencive day though.

Rubstrips and rallye blanks purchased. Just need to sort a new drivers side crystal lense to do the masks.
Clear repeters will be going on with the strips when I get some clips, so next weekend.
Interior will be changed this weekend, all bar the dial sheet thing with the numbers as I don't have a ph3 one yet.
