What does it mean when the air bag light comes on and flashes please??
suspect fault with passenger air bag "switch"........as when switched on there is no problem, but when swotched off the problem happens........

Can it be to warn you that the airbag is off ?

Does it flash for a few minutes after starting before glowing constantly? If so check the connectors under the seat. Unplugging them & reconnecting them (preferably when the ignition has been off for a while) usually does the trick ... temporarily at least!
