Need help d turbo lucas pump. - Djbeny4477 - 18-08-2018
Looking for advice wanting to turn my lucas pump up but having problems removing the black cap as all it seems to be doing is cracking.
Anyone know anyone selling the black plastic cap or anywhere I can get them from without buying another pump?
I have been told ford escort 1.8 td do metal caps but struggling to find one.

I had the same issues while trying to tune the Lucas pump in my Cit Xsara 1.9 td.
Eventually I got so frustrated that I went to a local metal machine workshop with the plastic cap. They made me a metal cap with the exact same dimensions and as an extra, they machined a 19 mm bolt head on it. Now I only need a 19 mm spanner to open it. So much easier.
