Nialls supercharged GTi6 - project tidy up - Niall - 24-05-2012 Right after the 1.8 started to go downhill, I decided I needed a replacement. I'm genuinely sad to see the 1.8 go because I had so much fun with it but it got to the point where it was to costly to repair. So here's the new 6! It's on 73k, full service history, 4 owners and been looked after really well. As said I loved the 1.8 so this will be getting most of the parts off of that to get it looking almost like the 1.8! It was on the cards for a while now and the mot fail just tipped it. Saw this 5 minutes after it was listed and it was 3 roads away from me so was ideal. Re: Nialls GTi6 - Midnightclub - 24-05-2012 Looks good bud! Shame about the 1.8 but onwards and upwards and all that jazz Re: Nialls GTi6 - mark_airey - 24-05-2012 Niall Wrote:Haha nah. I think it was quite cheap tbh and he was a bit upset because I phoned his at 9am this morning and by 12 he had had 6 calls about it. He had 3 people after me looking at it. Re: Nialls GTi6 - Toby - 24-05-2012 Supercharge it tbh. Re: Nialls GTi6 - Niall - 24-05-2012 Toby Wrote:Supercharge it tbh. Ain't happening. Going to keep it almost standard engine wise. Not even sure if I'm going to fit my K and N as it sounds epic on cam. Re: Nialls GTi6 - Dan! - 24-05-2012 This whole situation reminds me of another members antics a few months back..... I shit my self when I get into the skoda every day at the thought of 'exploring new towns' Re: Nialls GTi6 - WiNgNuTz - 24-05-2012 Looks good mate, shame about the 1.8. Good turn of events having a cheap '6 come up for sale JUST round the corner! Maybe a good sign of things to come, eh? Re: Nialls GTi6 - Niall - 24-05-2012 WiNgNuTz Wrote:Looks good mate, shame about the 1.8. Just typical it spits its coolant over the road 4 miles down the road haha Nialls GTi6 - Matt - 24-05-2012 Looks good mate, let me know whats not going on the '6 sure I can get a few bits of you Re: Nialls GTi6 - Stephen - 24-05-2012 Looks lovely, Best colour! Re: Nialls GTi6 - cwspellowe - 24-05-2012 Looks like a china '6 to me. Like ALL china 6's. /thread tbh it's good that you've got one to say you've done it, gti6 was always on my list of cars to own at some point in my life, but after 12 months or so you gradually get boreder of the pace and crave more. Well wear though sir Re: Nialls GTi6 - ginge191 - 24-05-2012 Niall Wrote:If I'm honest, I'm scared to leave Epsom! Seein as this is going no further than standard, I'll say my one post: nice car! Keep it mint! Re: Nialls GTi6 - C.A.R. - 25-05-2012 I also want another one at some point, but baby means that probably won't happen! Put a panel filter in the airbox, no cone filter, add a rorty exhaust and job done. The intake noise is amazing on these engines as standard... Re: Nialls GTi6 - Niall - 25-05-2012 Yeah I was thinking that. I have got a KandN on my 1.8 but might just sell it. Re: Nialls GTi6 - Kimmie - 25-05-2012 WTF? Yesterday lunchtime when I read the forum, you were *considering* breaking the 1.8. Now it's final and you've bought a bloody '6?? :p Crazy person, but the '6 looks awesome! Nice find, and typical you went for another china...... Re: Nialls GTi6 - Niall - 25-05-2012 Kimmie Wrote:WTF? We all know china is the best colour. None of this Nile crap! Haha Yeah was a bit quick but it was the ideal car so just skinted my self big time! Re: Nialls GTi6 - Eeyore - 25-05-2012 Dan! Wrote:Ed Doe Wrote:Who Dan!? Re: Nialls GTi6 - Niall - 27-05-2012 Right so we went to Curts yesterday after getting eds new car. Woke up at about 6 this morning and got cracking. I got to swap my gti calipers for the ones off my 1.8 and my shocks and springs. New ride height is good but because there 1.8 springs, it wallows really badly in corners as ed will tell you from the drive home! Need to get some gti6 springs desperately. Also fitted my stereo and swapped the freshly painted doors from the 1.8. Oh and I realise the doors look like they are a different colour but there not. They are dirty and the car wasn't as dirty And this is the state of the 1.8 I am getting properly sad about having to break this! Oh and no comments on the pikey lash up for the clearly secure axle stands! Re: Nialls GTi6 - lewisdmz - 27-05-2012 Might as well bolt the k&n on to see if you like it, mine had one when I got it and it sounded even more fantastic on cam. Re: Nialls GTi6 - puglove - 28-05-2012 every one is buying 6's lol, looks good though  Re: Nialls GTi6 - kingy - 28-05-2012 so glad you went for.. a. a 6 b. china. top man. Re: Nialls GTi6 - Jacko - 28-05-2012 I want so many panels from the 1.8! But I doubt the colour will match. Ph2 china + ph3 china = Fail (Two different shades) |
