P Bushes Suspension - Welshy_Pete - 21-11-2017

What are decent P bushes to get for the lower arms. I've heard Berlingo and Meyle are better but which are best?

306 hdi

Following As Mine Could Do With A Change.

RE: P Bushes Suspension - Esmyth124 - 21-11-2017

I'm looking to change mine also,

From my information the tried and tested methods are Berlingo Pbushes with a bigger bolt ( If someone remembers the size please add)

I have seen solid Powerflex Back Pbushes

I would like to think for £85 Quid they would be much better but I haven't heard any comments on them.

Following with interest.

i've fitted Lemforder on mine recently, have to wait and see how they do lol Big Grin

RE: P Bushes Suspension - jamesgmg - 21-11-2017

I fitted Delphi. Looked perfect the other day when I checked them.

RE: P Bushes Suspension - Welshy_Pete - 21-11-2017

There must be people on here with longer term driving and reviews of decent P bushes?

RE: P Bushes Suspension - Piggy - 21-11-2017

I've done 25k on powerflex P bushes.
Other than some recent "squeaking" no problems at all.

Still as firm as ever, no play at all. Get abuse on these B roads round here too.... Go through 2 sets of drop links a year usually.

And the squeaking can be solved with removal and degrease!

FYi: powerflex bushes also need bigger bolt

RE: P Bushes Suspension - Eeyore - 22-11-2017

Ive been using meyle HD wishbones for years. They come with the pbushes, front bush and ball joints fitted. Its just easier to replace the whole thing. Always been fine apart from when I snapped one because the big short bolt fell out because it wasnt threadlocked in!

RE: P Bushes Suspension - Poodle - 24-11-2017

Meyle are a load of over-priced shite, lasted less time than the cheap firstline stuff. Seen way too many of those arms snaps to trust them. Any oem quality replacement bush will be fine, I like TRW myself. Powerflex are good, but considerably more noise is transmitted through the chassis, not what I'd go for if you're more interested in comfort than handling.

RE: P Bushes Suspension - bashbarnard - 24-11-2017

Ive used TRW, lemoford and those cheap partner bushs on ebay, i think trw ones were the best imo. Also put cheap firstline ones on before to get me outta trouble when money was low but had to do them again in less than a year

RE: P Bushes Suspension - Welshy_Pete - 30-11-2017

I've got the Meyle hd p bushes and they do look good quality. You normally get 2 gap holes on the normal p bushes so any twisting or movements are weak.

The Meyle hd p bushes are filled 3/4 in the 2 gap holes making them stronger hopefully we'll see how it goes over time.

oem van bushes for me, been on a few years now no issues.

Think from memory the partner bush's need to be tapped out to M10

Cheap partner bushes on mine which feel good but haven't been on over long

no tapping needed but they do use a 10x1.25 bolt rather than the 8x1.25 of the steel bushes.
