Coilovers/Springs/Shocks - Esmyth124 - 06-09-2017

few questions.

Do 306 GTI6 front struts fit a 306 HDI?

If they do has anyone done it and has it been good?

if not

could someone please suggest a good make/Brand of coilovers or springs?

RE: Coilovers/Springs/Shocks - Eeyore - 06-09-2017

All of the strusts are interchangeable. Not sure what the spring rate would be like though.

If you buy new then you wan bilstein and eibach springs. Bilstein B4 shocks are OEM replacement. B6/8 are upgraded.

The gti6 ones will raise a hdi from memory as they are a lighter engine. If you want standard height ones for hdi use dturbo ones. If you want a small drop for cheap xsra vts springs and struts. If not read above

ye the hdi engin is lighter than the gti so don't bother with gti stuff , the dturbo is the gti spec diesel i will put up some part numbers for suspention bit

FRONT SUSPENSION SHOCK-ABSORB

LEFT 5202 S4  RP   5208 N2

right  5202 S8  RP  5208 N3

thay are not listing springs for the dturbo vin any more at peugeot

Does anyone have any pics of a 306 on B4's with lowering springs?

Some good comments here but looking cheap with good handling.

RE: Coilovers/Springs/Shocks - Eeyore - 07-09-2017

just google or look for a lowered 306 thread. there are a few about. basically eibachs are a 30mm drop. ebay springs are 40 or 60mm drops.

Basically, HDI D Turbo uses GTI shocks but different springs (which you cant really get anymore) so GTI B4s and a lowering spring of your choice for the GTI is the best you can really do, the B4/Eibachs are great and fairly cheap.
