Gearbox Questions - Esmyth124 - 18-07-2017 Going to change the clutch on a 306 hdi due to the unbearable slippage in 3rd/4th/5th what would you guys suggest? LUK or Valeo? I also have the option to get it Kevlar lined ? is it worth the price and does anyone have any experience with a kevlar clutch? also, while the gearbox is off is there any parts that need replaced? eg clutch fork bushes ect? thanks guys RE: Gearbox Questions - zx_volcane - 19-07-2017 oem luk or valeo will be fine for a stock engine consider an upgrade if you're going to run a remap. replace nylon fork bushes and cable - and poss the fork if it doesn't clean up well. check the input shaft seal on the gearbox too, as piece of cake to replace while its off RE: Gearbox Questions - Esmyth124 - 20-07-2017 (19-07-2017, 06:24 AM)zx_volcane Wrote: oem luk or valeo will be fine for a stock engine Currently stage 1 atm and it is slipping bad, but the car does have a 134k with no reciepts of changing the clutch ever lol. will i genuine peugeot cable? or does it matter? and is there part numbers for the nylon fork bush and input shaft seal? thanks. RE: Gearbox Questions - Poodle - 20-07-2017 Stage 1 will be fine on a standard clutch. LUK or valeo doesn't really matter. Pattern parts are fine so long as you don't buy cheap crap.
