Alternator not charging - Dreijers - 14-06-2017

Hi!

Bottom pulley of my car decided that it wants to rest and started to vibrate. Before that battery light went on. I stopped at the side of the road and opened bonnet. Bottom pulley was vibrating. Turned off car and started up, battery light went off and there was rattling sound, but decided to move on.
I tried driving with it being broken for about 50km, because there was no other option except for towing.
Next morning I started up my car and drove for 10 min and there were flat battery symptoms (speedo and tachometer stuck at 2o'clock position). After that car died.
I changed bottom pulley, maybe that would fix rattling.
Rattling were less obvious, but stayed there.
And now after pulley change, alternator isn't charging. And because battery is flat I bumpstarted it.
After 2 min it died.

Battery light isn't on what is weird.
Could alternator pulley be dead, or I am better off to change entire alternator?
Car is hdi.

Money is a bit thight, so I would stay away from new or refurbished alternator for now.

Charge the battery to get the car running, then check the alternator output with a multimeter - should see about 14V if the alternator is ok.
