Club racing categories - PugLee - 11-05-2017 Hi all, With progress being made on my car with the aim of having it completed by the end of the year, Ive started looking into club racing, am I right in thinking it's categorised by power/weight ratio? If so, what are the categories? Cheers PugLee RE: Club racing categories - welshpug - 11-05-2017 depends where in the country and what your aims and budget is. circuit sprint hillclimb rally?? RE: Club racing categories - PugLee - 11-05-2017 Well I did want to do circuit, but from what I can make out the highest hatchback category is 250bhp/ton. RE: Club racing categories - welshpug - 11-05-2017 depends what series you go for, have seen 400 bhp 306's being raced RE: Club racing categories - PugLee - 11-05-2017 I'll have to do more homework on it me thinks! I'd like to break the 500 threshold so I'll have to wait and see when the cars done. Otherwise I'll give time attack a go RE: Club racing categories - miles - 11-05-2017 Depends on spec of car, loads of Race series around, RE: Club racing categories - Dum-Dum - 12-05-2017 You really need to look at different series. Different series class in different ways. Some will allow any modifications, others are quite strict. I think it's the Track Day Challenge that Dan Abbit (of Abbit Motorsport) who is on here races in. One of my other mates whos a ford boy also races in it and they class by power to weight ratio. |
