Boost gauge - BoldieRob - 28-12-2016 Can anyone tell me the best way to fit a boost gauge?? Pictures if possible cheers??? RE: Boost gauge - Magenta Sunset - 28-12-2016 most persons ten to tap into the inlet elbow. (must finish fitting mine) RE: Boost gauge - toseland - 28-12-2016 mmhmm, tapped boost elbow, be carefuyl where you tap it though, as the outtake might get in the way of easily undoing nuts etc. RE: Boost gauge - BoldieRob - 28-12-2016 Cheers I'll have a look into doing that ?? RE: Boost gauge - Eeyore - 28-12-2016 Best bet is to use a drill bit with lard on it or something to keep the swarf from going into the inlet. I've always used kits where you drill a hole and then put the take off through the hole from the inside of the manifold. It takes forever and you risk dropping it into the turbo. Many people use a brake nipple as the take off. Boost gauge - bashbarnard - 29-12-2016 I take the inlet elbows off takes about 10 mins. Clamp in a vice drill a small hole then use one of these the size you want. No need to tapp the hole as they self tap into ally and the thread is tapered so they self seal as well. All in all 30 min job if youve done it before. If its your first time id say an hour. This way you dont rish anything dropping in. Or drilling a hole on the huh. m.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-X-FACET-brass-union-fuel-hose-fitting-1-8-nptf-6mm-outlet-AIR-FUEL-OIL-M81-/331680649778?hash=item4d39b51232%3Ag%3AXboAAOSwAYtWHMgy&_trkparms=pageci%253Ad2a82aa5-cd9b-11e6-ac9a-005056a05363%257Cparentrq%253A499162db1590a78574252c65ffc83ae7%257Ciid%253A3 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk RE: Boost gauge - BoldieRob - 28-01-2017 Thanks for help people all done now ? went with elbow and brake nipple RE: Boost gauge - DeeTurbo - 29-01-2017 Got any photos?
