Welcome to the forum!

welcome! theres nothing wrong with a 1.8 16v. Mine made 130hp after thousands of pounds.... but theres plenty of cheap stuff to get it to 120ish. They make a nice noise and are pretty bombproof!

RE: hi all - johnnygomez - 30-11-2016

cheers guys .... Eeyore read your build, very impressive. not going that far yet .... handling etc first before more power me thinks

RE: hi all - Eeyore - 30-11-2016

306 handling is really really good. If you can get it lowered around 40mm on decent shocks thats a great start. People dont mess with front ARBs or droplinks. A seamwelded subframe is free to do if youre handy with a welder otherwise you can slap on upper and lower omp strut braces.

Hello, and welcome along.

There are some nice cheap mods you can do to the suspension and handling as eyeore suggested above.

Decent set of tyres help too, although with it being winter not a lot you can do.
