Peugeot 309 d turbo project - adampug - 08-11-2016 Here is my 1989 peugeot 309 1.9 na. I have owned for over a year now but think it's time to make some changes. Recently fitted coilovers and a pre lowered rear beam and some capri alloys Also had a sump guard fabricated so can lower the front down more without damaging the important stuff. I bought a 306 d turbo and removed engine/ gearbox and a few other bits from it then scrapped what was left. Sent from my SM-G925F using Tapatalk I have now started work on the 306 engine. I am going to replace headgasket, cambelt kit and clutch before putting in the car. I am also wanted to change the lucas pump for a bosch setup and possibly fit xantia manifold for a front mount intercooler. Just trying to source some parts drop me a message if you have anything that might be help ful Sent from my SM-G925F using Tapatalk RE: Peugeot 309 d turbo project - Dum-Dum - 08-11-2016 Ooh cool project, not a fan of the Capri alloys though. Gonna pop on a bigger turbo while the engine is out? Wouldn't mind changed pump injectors turbo and manifold if the parts come up at the right price Sent from my SM-G925F using Tapatalk RE: Peugeot 309 d turbo project - Mattcheese31 - 08-11-2016 Get rid of that restrictive air intake too, if u want an oem option rob the pipes off a 405 xud 1.9 love the 309's btw, good move swapping the block RE: Peugeot 309 d turbo project - adampug - 08-11-2016 (08-11-2016, 07:19 PM)Mattcheese31 Wrote: Get rid of that restrictive air intake too, if u want an oem option rob the pipes off a 405 xud 1.9 love the 309's btw, good move swapping the blockI'm going to go to a few local scrap yards and see what I can find Sent from my SM-G925F using Tapatalk RE: Peugeot 309 d turbo project - mr_fish - 09-11-2016 Looks a goodun. RE: Peugeot 309 d turbo project - Piggy - 09-11-2016 Try and get some ARP headbolts in there while you are at it RE: Peugeot 309 d turbo project - adampug - 09-11-2016 (09-11-2016, 06:02 PM)Eeyore Wrote: if its red you will be able to see oil leaks a lot more easier than if its black!I was thinking same thing. Sent from my SM-G925F using Tapatalk Peugeot 309 d turbo project - zx_volcane - 10-11-2016 Notches are on the flywheel end of the hg, count them. Though tbf they vary in such a small amount of thickness it doesn't massively matter. Based on piston protrusion from the deck, not affected by having the head skimmed Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro RE: Peugeot 309 d turbo project - adampug - 10-11-2016 (10-11-2016, 07:23 PM)zx_volcane Wrote: Notches are on the flywheel end of the hg, count them. Think I need bigger brakes soon Sent from my SM-G925F using Tapatalk RE: Peugeot 309 d turbo project - Danny Wideboy - 12-11-2016 If that is the sort of threaded bar you buy at diy places it is not suitable for wheel studs. Far too soft and no shoulder for the wheel.
