Not done any research on this yet , but has anyone used a machine mart cfc100 ( 020110142 ) 1 ton crane to remove and refit hdi engine and g/box as one unit, with one of these?
I have a discount code at the moment so this would be a good time to buy me thinks.
will try and copy and paste picture and dimensions etc.......

worked an absolute treat. didnt think it was at all bad. the only thing that annoyed me is i didnt have a handle on to grab the crane to pull it back when the engine was hanging on it. saying this though for almost half of what youre paying there id live with no handle or just weld one to it lol

ive got the ebay crane as Bash says its missing the grab handle but its not the end of the world
but i would highly recommend the machine mart CLL500 Load Leveller to go with it makes life so much easier

yeah load levelers make life so much easier if youre doing engines. however im a massive pikey and still dont own one

Self reliance, I don't loan out tools and stuff these days at all. When I have one, I will have it.
Could just use the car port joist and a chain hoist, but it will come in handy for other stuff as well so makes sense, especially with discount code, machine mart gauranteed stuff.

Someone said, neither a borrower or lender be, that's about money I know, but its good to have to hand stuff rather than the hassle of finding and loaning etc..
I only loan stuff to 2 person as I trust them, one my bro and the other a school chum of the lads I have known for 16 years. We loan stuff to each other, they scratch my back etc., and that trust works well.
The purchase of this crane would help us 3, I have his cam and bike chain press at the moment, due to be finished with by next week and returned via uni.
He has arranged for me to attend the uni electronics club for a particular project I have been playing with for some time, so can demonstrate some focus.
His group has a project/competition which I can listen in to, and may be kick in the right direction, as some of the group are knob heads, clever qualified knob heads, but knob heads all the same.
One member did'nt understand that drive chain sprockets have to be "in line", and he worked for a large car manufacturer up north east!!
Anyway, my mate is a rising start and is gunna have letters after his name, keep going dude, its in you ! He loves uni.
Sorry for the ramble, anyone got a cv joint on a shelf to take measurements from please, please, please.
