Front end bush kits - Eddleston - 28-08-2016 Afternoon All, Do any of you recommend any type or sellers for a front end bush kit? I've found loads of places that sell what I'm after but a few seem outrageous prices. (Like double what my old hulix cost) Any suggestions very welcome. Meyle HD bottom arms a good bet also and come with a 4 year guarantee. I'm running powerflex black front and rear p-bushes with lemforder balljoints on oem arms. As to sellers, there is not usually a massive diff in price these days RE: Front end bush kits - Eddleston - 03-09-2016 After what you said volcane I rang Peugeot. They said I wasn't able to get only wishbone bushes, I had to buy the wishbones too. I'm not spending over £300. The bloke on the phone also said I could get the bushes for a citroen that has the same wishbones. Is it worth me ringing a citroen place and asking for bushes for a ...... ZX? Alternatively if I buy one of these will i just be able to get on with the job? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Peugeot-306-Petrol-Powerflex-Complete-Bush-Kit-/381189068676?hash=item58c0a39784:g:ODgAAOSwqu9U~~Fj And are these too cheap to be trusted? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/330430646849?clk_rvr_id=1087038077587&rmvSB=true RE: Front end bush kits - DeeTurbo - 03-09-2016 Don't get the bottom set, no name bushes are shit and should never be produced. Get these arms http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/351223410938?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/390973313920?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT And two of these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/351223255030?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT They are highly discounted as they are getting rid of old stock. RE: Front end bush kits - Eddleston - 03-09-2016 Thank you! Ordered! Only issue I've got now is that they only had one ball joint left... Any other brands recommended? And shall I get these while I'm at it? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PEUGEOT-CITROEN-FRONT-Anti-roll-Bar-Link-Stabiliser-Drop-Link-Rods-Sway-Bar-x-2/230857482006?_trksid=p5713.c100041.m2061&_trkparms=aid%3D333008%26algo%3DRIC.MBE%26ao%3D3%26asc%3D20140109122350%26meid%3D35c0488dc97c4d09b5cf0d5ce162cc4a%26pid%3D100041%26rk%3D3%26rkt%3D20%26mehot%3Dpp%26sd%3D390973313920 RE: Front end bush kits - Eeyore - 03-09-2016 Just get the meyle HD wishbones. They come with ball joints and the front and back bush. They're about 150 I think. RE: Front end bush kits - bholten - 03-09-2016 Genuine items always personally I have lived and learned never to trust unbranded items... Lemforder is a good brand and febi if genuine ones aren't avaliable P-bush i recommend the Partner/Berlingo genuine bushes i have had mine for about 4 years and they are still very tight They look like this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FEBI-BILSTEIN-Control-Arm-Trailing-Bush-PEUGEOT-PARTNER-CITROEN-BERLINGO-23405-/191847391250?fits=Model%3ABerlingo&hash=item2caafee012:g:wIMAAOSwARZXmbMA The drop links you have listed there are unbranded i would stay away from those buddy RE: Front end bush kits - Poodle - 03-09-2016 I've seen a few problems crop up with the meyle HD arms, a couple of snapped bushes and some that wear rather quicker than you would expect for something that expensive. In my experience as long as you stick with a recognised OEM supplier you'll be ok, Delphi, Lemforder, Lucas, etc. RE: Front end bush kits - welshpug - 03-09-2016 you can get the rear bush from peugeot and citroen for the vans, about £20 each. front bush as you've found out is annoyingly not listed separate to the arm by the dealers themselves, though they do tend to last a very very long time as all the heavy large forces go into the rear ones, there isn't that much rubber in the front bushes (which is why they're better than a poly bush) thankfully motaquip often are o.e bushes, LVSK623 is the front bush, lsvk 624 for the rear for the standard steel one, find a local factor that do them, they are very cheap. |
