Saab 93 tid Vector Sport 150. - Danny Wideboy - 14-08-2016 Drove a fair way yesterday to pick up a Saab 93 tid Vector Sport saloon. Was a bit of a bargain although it does have a short MOT and a slight rattle from the DMF. It's not always there and it's not that loud so not fussed about it yet and it won't do mega miles anyway as it is my Mrs daily. So, pics. And the price? £350. RE: Bought a Saab. - cully - 14-08-2016 £350..... I do hope you pulled the guys trousers back up after you took advantage cracking buy ![]() RE: Bought a Saab. - procta - 14-08-2016 fuckin hell that's very cheap for a saab! has the market for these dropped like a rock? RE: Bought a Saab. - tigerstyle - 14-08-2016 Moon mileage? But looks 'mint'! RE: Bought a Saab. - Toms306 - 14-08-2016 My neighbour bought one of these yesterday as well!! Weird!! The DMF rattle will be why it's so cheap... RE: Bought a Saab. - swampy - 14-08-2016 Ive just taken mine to Italy via Nurbergring Austria including a few jaunts in to the Alps Then in to Italy via the brenner pass Back via the gotthard pass , Switzerland and France Covered 2600 miles and averaged 63mpg Not bad considering some was at autobahn speeds and others on the twisty passes of the Alps Car was four up and included luggage for two weeks RE: Bought a Saab. - Piggy - 14-08-2016 Yup. Sorely tempted by one of these. I'd argue there is nothing better on the market for the kind if money you can pick these up for RE: Bought a Saab. - Ben_w - 14-08-2016 is the seat upright adjuster broken? ![]() RE: Bought a Saab. - Danny Wideboy - 14-08-2016 Haha no it isn't broken, I was just relaxing with the cruise control on the way back. Yeah just shy of 190k sa a fair few. It did most of those miles in its early years and I have the service record for it and a folder of receipts and stuff. It is really clean though, inside and out and drives nice and tight. Really pleased with it, goes like hell compared to my transit or the 309. RE: Bought a Saab. - bigcheez2k3 - 14-08-2016 Looks good. I was assuming it was going to be an old Saab, not a modern one. RE: Bought a Saab. - MY95 - 14-08-2016 Been so tempted by one of these, but engine problems put me off them, let me know how you get on it looks smart ![]() RE: Bought a Saab. - 1616six - 14-08-2016 I looked at this & wanted a reason to buy it. Looks great. RE: Bought a Saab. - toseland - 14-08-2016 cue thge "omg i bought a lemon" posts lol nice find however RE: Bought a Saab. - Seb_Ryan - 14-08-2016 Ive got my eye on a 95 estate.. 2.3t (250bhp) its £250 and motd for 9 months but aux belt has snapped and killed the crank seal.. Only thing putting me off is if timings out its engine out to change the timing chain ![]() Sent from my LG-H850 using Tapatalk RE: Bought a Saab. - Danny Wideboy - 14-08-2016 (14-08-2016, 08:08 PM)toseland Wrote: cue thge "omg i bought a lemon" posts lol When I buy cheap cars and they break, I don't moan about it, they are always cheap for a reason. I'm aware of that. RE: Bought a Saab. - Eeyore - 14-08-2016 theyre so cheap yet so good. i hope you enjoy it! RE: Bought a Saab. - Danny Wideboy - 25-09-2016 So, the rattle got progressively worse. It was really, really loud and turned out it wasn't coming from where we first thought. Flywheel is fine, exhaust heatshield was slowly falling off and rattling like mad in the tunnel. Super pleased about that. RE: Bought a Saab. - Danny Wideboy - 29-11-2016 May well be for sale shortly. Has gained an MOT. And a dent in the front wing, which is also the reason for sale. My lovely Mrs doesn't like driving it and says it's too big. So she wants my Pajero instead. Obviously. The metal is thin and the nut had pulled through the shield right? RE: Bought a Saab. - Danny Wideboy - 30-11-2016 Yarp. Secure again now. RE: Bought a Saab. - welshpug - 30-11-2016 ahh but its whats on top that makes all the difference. RE: Bought a Saab. - Danny Wideboy - 04-01-2017 Now for sale.
