ARP bolt tightening torque - niciou - 20-07-2016

Hi everybody

es that someone know the proper torque for ARP 1.9 td breech head

How newtonmeter ?

RE: ARP bolt tightening torque - Frosty - 20-07-2016

Pretty certain it's 100lbft, not sure what converts to in newton meters. I got it wrote down at work. Do it in 3 stages though. I'm sure someone will be along to conform for sure though.

100ftlbs is right doing it in 3 stages if you have the head off if not just go straight to 100ftlbs

Just had a look in by toolbox at work. It is 100lft which is 135nm.

thank you to you all for your quick response

you have an idea of the reliability of the cylinder head gasket with ARP bolts for a power of 180 hp is 1.6 bar

How kilometer before the seal silk Off ?

I wouldnt expect 1.6bar to give you 180hp on a stock head.

Also MLS gasket with ARP studs shouldnt give you any head gasket issues with that boost unless you have serious VNT causing lots of low down boost / rediculous exhaust backpressure.
