Gt2052s safe running pressure - Paul_13 - 06-07-2016

What's the max  you can run a gt2052s at?

RE: Gt2052s safe running pressure - bashbarnard - 06-07-2016

ran mine at 1.6 bar/23psi for many months fine. when i had my big pump on i uped it to 1.8bar/26psi and it was also fine. thats all i can tell you really. once id taken it off after almost a year of abuse it still had no movement or anything was in perfect working order

Not more than 24psi for long life. Tiny little fragile shafts to make them spool so quick.

Had mine at 25/26psi for over a year and still going ok with no issues. I just try to have a lot of mechanical sympathy.

I was an arse to mine and it snapped the shaft.

I have not got much mechanical sympathy.

16.5:1 AFR, 170hp = 1.55bar ~18lb/min airflow.

You're not going to want to run much more boost without falling off the end of the compressor map pretty severely.
