XUD vs HDI gearbox - The Phil Billy - 22-06-2016

ive litteraly today ended up buying a 5 door hdi which my plan is to bust since i need some bits for my estate but ive heard of people putting in HDI boxes in XUDs because they are taller geared? Has anyone done it is it worth putting the box into mine?
cheers

depends what you want out of it, and how your xud is setup

better for motorway cruising, less noise, lower rpms

not really suited to stock xud powerband

the car is mainly a daily cruiser tbh im planning on running TD04 too but dont know what it would be like with that on i suspose if its geared taller it will be better on the jungle juice too

I run an ancient td04 setup on a hdi gearbox. Drives fine. Better gearing for when you're driving spirited and much much better on runs.
